You will be invited into my private, cosy counselling room at a time of your choosing, or join a meeting with me on Zoom – whichever suits you best. I will then encourage you to speak about your reasons for coming to counselling, what you’re feeling in this moment, and what you wish to get out of our time together. After we have explored what’s going on for you and what makes you tick, I will draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to come up with a roadmap going forward that addresses your needs.
Of course! Everything you say during our sessions together is completely privileged and won’t be shared with anyone else. This is your chance to speak freely without fear of repercussions or being judged.
The number of sessions one needs varies from person to person. For those needing help with something specific, a couple of sessions of IEMT can be all you need. If we are using CBT, the timeframe is normally eight to 16 sessions, but can be more or less, depending on your situation. Many clients see me on an open-ended basis, with us working together over the course of many months, or even years. It’s essentially up to you.
Generally, I recommend weekly sessions, as this allows us to build a good rapport. In cases where crisis intervention is needed, I can offer two sessions a week. Others may prefer to see me once a fortnight, and that’s okay as well.
Absolutely! You are free to give me a call before you book your first appointment of counselling in Norwich or online. I know reaching out and jumping straight into a session can be scary, so this is your chance to ask any questions and see whether you’d be comfortable working with me before taking that leap.
Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, or cheque. If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice, otherwise you will be required to pay for the session in full.
